About Me

Hello S'quizite Ladies! Thank you so much for visiting my page! My name is Shaunte, also known in the hair world (and to my clients) as 'Stylist Shaunte Genine'. I am originally from Memphis, Tennessee,  where I discovered my original passion for hair at the early age of ten. Surely following, I decided that I wanted to provide a truly fulfilling and quality service to others as a living! Now, I am a full blown entrepreneur! I've been styling professionally for a FULL consecutive 10 years.  

I remember the discovery of my passion quite vividly. I was sitting in the den of my grandmother's home watching Michael Jackson concerts for the 100th time with my mom and siblings. As I sat in front of the TV playing in my doll's hair where I began to create a scalp braid. I recall being so excited and proud to show my mom. She assured me that I was gifted, and those words have resided with me from that point on. 

I began to do my friends and peers hair in high school and my skills began to truly excel going foward. I continued my education at Plaza Beauty School, where I graduated from in 2009. Following, I went on to become a certified cosmetologist, and I have been a die hard contributor in the hair industry since then. Currently, I have gravitated towards the beautiful art of advanced wig designing. I have been a wig designer for 5 years now, and I sincerely enjoy creating wigs and new looks for the community. Through my passion, I am rewarded the opportunity to uplift the spirits of others. I hope you enjoy every gift from Shaunte' Genine' Collection and thank you for your time and interest
